Maintain an in-depth understanding of the company business vision and current strategic priorities to ensure the project's business requirements align to business strategy, and to help stakeholders prioritize requirements effectively.
Assess, research and recommend process and/or technical solutions to address the company business and operational needs by translating these requirements into systems specifications to enable the design, development and testing of application solutions.
Elicit, analyze, define and obtain sign-off for requirements deliverables as necessary using a variety of techniques and models.
Develop and maintain a Traceability Matrix to enable quality coverage and impact analysis on the proposed solution.
University or college degree.
Minimum 7-10 years in Business Systems Analyst Role.
Experience as a BSA in at least two, multi-million dollar software engineering projects.
Experience as a BSA, from inception to implementation, in at least one data-intensive project.
Experience in the Health Care Sector is an asset.
Deep knowledge and alignment with IIBA BABOK is mandatory, IIBA CBAP certification preferred.
Strong understanding of user and business requirements in factual and conceptual terms and the ability to translate these into information systems specifications.
Understanding of recent Java, Oracle and SAS technologies and development tools is a requirement.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, more specifically MS Visio, MS Word, MS Excel. Experience using , Blueprint Requirements Centre and Enterprise Architect is definitely an asset.
Knowledge on the following technologies/technical solution enablers such as Health Information Standards and HL7 Messaging, Enterprise architectural framework and concepts, Data warehouse, ETL concepts, Business Intelligence software as well as the Oracle Suite of Products.
Sound technical and business writing skills and experience with documentation deliverables pertaining detailed requirements (including but not limited to process flow, activity diagrams, use cases, data models, test documentation and training material).
