Estimating Coordinator

Job Order: GD-797

Job Description:

  • Review, prioritize, and assign new bid requests in the B2W database
  • Search existing databases for client development/new business opportunities
  • Sets-up walkthroughs for the Estimating team and expedites the bidding process
  • Maintains in-house database of existing clients/subcontractors/vendors
  • Prepares and creates reports for the Vice President, Business Operations, as required
  • Prepares request for customer proposals, quotes and presentations as required
  • Proofreads and assembles final proposals and bid submission
  • Downloads required files from client sites (Document control)
  • Contacts vendors for quotes, qualifications, and other information as required
  • Works with the Project Coordinators and Operations Coordinator, as needed, to facilitate turnover of bid documents to operations
  • Provides administrative assistance to Estimating staff as required
  • Provides administrative assistance to the Vice President, Business Operations as requested including but not limited to scheduling and maintaining calendar, meeting preparation, main point of contact for vendors, preparation of meeting minutes, filing

Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • Strong preference for completion of a post-secondary (College, University in a related discipline i.e. Construction/Project Management))
  • 3+ years’ experience supporting Estimators in the execution of demolition/construction bids
  • 3+ years’ administrative experience
  • Understanding of the construction/demolition tender process
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate and achieve results through others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated willingness to be adaptable and flexible to changing priorities
  • Familiarity with demolition methods and legislation
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with Viewpoint construction software experience
