Contribute to the development of the company strategic goals and objectives through active engagement and participation in all high-level organizational activities
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
Document and maintain complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions
Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process, ensuring compliance with all budgetary requirements
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and make recommendations
Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance and present recommendations to the senior management team
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Oversee daily operations of the finance/accounting department including:
Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high-quality reporting that adds value to decision making process
Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
Participate in the recruitment, discipline and engagement of all members of the team in the Accounting department
Collaboration with IT department to ensure maximization of computer systems capabilities to ensure efficiency, accuracy of reporting, and reduction of non-value adding manual activities
Manage the preparation of all financial and KPI reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely presentation of such reports
Review the financial viability of potential acquisitions
Oversee financial due diligence process for all acquisitions
Ensure that regular finance process audits are completed and provide recommendations for improvement
Develop strong relationships with all internal stakeholders and provide a high level of integrity with communication and deliverables

Accounting degree mandatory, a master’s in business administration is preferred, CPA preferred
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Knowledge of federal and provincial legislation as it pertains to financial reporting
Accounting degree with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to establish and maintain a professional rapport with patients and co-workers.
Bilingualism is preferred
High proficiency with client management systems and Microsoft Office suite are essential. High level of computer literacy is required for this position.
Ability to evaluate the need for new technology to meet the organization's financial data processing, control, and reporting requirements and advise on appropriate technology to meet the organization's information requirements and financial resources.
Ability to be flexible in work responsibilities.
Ability to function in a multi-tasking environment.
