Cytology Application Specialist

Job Descriptions:

  • Support and Promote ThinPrep Cytology Education
  • Conduct the ThinPrep Pap Test  (TPPT)  Customer Training Program (In -house and Mobile)
  • Support distributors in all cytology education and training
  • Support   on-site   morphology    training   and   educational  efforts    (pre/post implementation)
  • Develop ThinPrep Pap Test morphology: 
  • Develop tools and refine standards of TPPT screening and interpretive skills
  • Support slide set production for customer education use
  • As s is t with Cytology Education projects as needed
  • Promote and support ThinPrep non-gyn Cytyology  Applications and successfully provide technical support
  • Develop and refine non-gyn morphology screening and interpretive skills.
  • Master non-gyn preparation protocols
  • Work   with  Technical  Service   to  develop   strategies  to  successfully resolve customer issues in a timely fashion
  • Promote and monitor non-gyn usage within assigned territories
  • Provide customer training and technical clinical support for a variety of  instruments
  • Assist Sales Department to  monitor  laboratory TPPT  conversion and  achieve annual objectives
  • Visit existing customers on regular basis to resolve any technical issues
  • Promote and support laboratory TPPT implementation and usage
  • Collect laboratory statistics and utilize to promote TPPT implementation
  • Provide regional laboratory conversion data
  • Assist Sales in training physician ns to properly collect and rinse a TPPT
  • Participate in the sales effort by assisting with prospective customers
  • Work with the Sales Department to attain the TPPT Quota each year
  • Monitor reimbursement progress
  • Understand the region's business plan and actively participate in the forecasting process


Job Requirements:

  • Extensive travel required
  • Excellent communication in both French and English, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Certified Registered Cytotechnologist with CSMLS (Canadian Society for Medical
  • Laboratory Science) or equivalent is mandatory
  • Clinical experience
  • Experience with ThinPrep preparation is a plus
