As an Estimator, you will use your strong analytical and technical capabilities to prepare timely and accurate project budgets and quotations to meet or exceed expectations of profitability and delivery of Lump Sum Tender, Design-Build, and Construction Management projects.
Preparation of Budgets for Construction Management and Design-Build projects
Travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
Review the project plans and specifications and comment on the design, scheduling, possible cost savings measures and potential construction risks/issues
Undertake conceptual estimates based on space plans, preliminary drawings and scope of work to prepare detailed and accurate quantity takeoffs
Read, interpret and understand contract drawings and specifications, and maintain conformance during work processes
Prepare detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs and visit potential work sites as required
Experienced Estimator with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry and managing an Estimating team (Sr. Estimator)
Skilled in Value Engineering, Contractors, Procurement, Quantity Surveying, Design-Build and Pre-construction.
Strong operations professional with Advanced Diploma focused in Construction Engineering Technology
2-5 years of ICI construction, warehouses, offices as well as mid-rise approximately 12 storey buildings
Gold Seal Certification
Strong presentation skills
Ability to travel to job sites, meet with contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers
