Financial Analyst

Job Descriptions: 

  • Advise on the content and accuracy of financial reporting
  • Ensure that all month-end financial duties and resulting financial reporting are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist the Director of Finance in the preparation of budget files
  • Record all business transactions, process accruals and adjustments, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial statements
  • Prepare financial statements and review bank reconciliations
  • Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities
  • Prepare monthly submissions for accounting and monthly remittances
  • Maintain year-end working documentation and spreadsheets, and assist with preparation for any internal or external audits or independent reviews
  • Analyze and advise on costs and opportunities for savings
  • Supervise Credit and Collection activities
  • Other duties as assigned by manager


Job Requirementss: 

  • Degree or diploma finance or accounting
  • Five years of experience in an intermediate accounting role
  • Ability to analyze and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, and forms, must have strong knowledge and expertise in Excel
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls
  • Ability to report on business KPIs and provide decision support with strong evidence
  • Knowledge of business analysis tools
  • Demonstrated problem solving capabilities
  • High level of integrity and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Experience with Navision would be an asset
