Job Description:

  • Responsible for the growth and achievement of sales and profitability objectives through new and existing core products, licenses and distribution within the country, particularly Central and Western Canada.
  • Provides good communication and understanding towards distributors in region.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in a scientific discipline or related experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years medical device/diagnostic sales experience or equivalent skills required.  Molecular sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Must have the ability to fully and independently manage assigned territory to achieve maximum profitability.
  • Proven record of accomplishment with demonstrated ability to manage large medical product territory successfully.
  • Ability to communicate fluently (verbally and in writing) regarding aspects of In Vitro Diagnostic sales.
  • Proven track record of demonstrated ability to manage his/her territory; successfully managed a favorable ROI on programs and expense budgets.
  • Computer proficiency in Word and Excel required.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills with a variety of healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, hospital executives, laboratory managers).
  • Outstanding written and presentation skills with ability to communicate to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, in formal and social settings within the company, with customers, and distribution partners.
  • Ability to work autonomously, and at the same time promote and facilitate a team effort.
  • High degree of ethics and professionalism while interacting with customers, vendors and co-workers.
  • Ability to think strategically and bring a high level of creativity to the organization.
  • Ability to uphold and support individual and company values.
  • A positive attitude demonstrated during company functions and public events to encourage team camaraderie and enthusiasm for growth in market share and revenue.
  • The successful candidate must live, and have work authorization, in Canada.
