Job Descriptions:

  • Provide overall construction management, including design, budget and schedule, in conjunction with the Project Managers, Clients, Owners,  Engineers and Architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget on large complex civil projects
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team's ongoing progression
  • Ensure construction compliance with design requirements and project construction schedule by supervising and coordinating site trades, other site management, field engineering and construction activities
  • Ensure the implementation of the company Safety Program to create a safe work environment on the jobsite and adhere to the safety and record keeping requirement. Also advise senior management of potential problems, work interference and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts
  • Mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development

 

Job Requirements:

  • Construction related degree and 10+ years of construction experience in heavy civil infrastructure projects with specific experience in 400-Series Highways and Metrolinx Bridge Projects. 
  • Experience in dealing with Ontario government agencies is a definite plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion
  • Strong scheduling experience with a proven ability to develop, maintain and execute both long-term and short-term schedules.
  • You are comfortable working with computers and previous experience with scheduling software
