Manage and maintain the company’s VMware environment. Utilizes VMware best practices along with capacity and problem management to anticipate load changes, with an eye to maximizing hardware utilization in all environments;
Monitor and analyze trends in system to identify issues before they create an impact to the production environment;
Alert and resolve any performance issues and communicate them accordingly;
Participate in root cause analysis for incidents;
Document requirements and properly manage updates & deployments using existing change management processes;
Bring an Innovative approach to the specialty field(s) of expertise on a team;
Manage and maintain the company’s NetApp and 3PAR environment. Utilizes NetApp and 3PAR best practices along with capacity and problem management to anticipate load changes, with an eye to maximizing hardware utilization in all environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related discipline or equivalent experience;
At least 7 years related work experience in a similar position;
Strong experience with install, configure and manage VMware;
Working knowledge of basic networking concept (VLAN, routing, etc…);
Experience with a virtual environment (VMware vSphere, Acropolis, IBM PowerVM, etc.);
Experience with Windows Server (2003/R2, 2008/R2, 2012/R2 and 2016);
Experience with Unix based operating system (AIX, HP-UX or Linux) is a plus;
Experience with NetApp (Clustered ONTAP) and HP 3PAR storage is a plus;
Knowledge in a scripting language like Powershell is a plus;
Experience supporting 24x7 environments;
Participate on the after-hours on-call support for critical issues may be required.
