Backend Team Lead, IT Operations

Job Description:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to his team;
  • Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business;
  • Grow team expertise to meet demand and to support technology direction; always look for ways to enhance value delivered;
  • Lead, coordinate and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the virtualization and storage environment;
  • Coordinate and collaborate with network, business application, Server and database administration function. Ensure availability, reliability and scalability of corporate and division servers to meet business demands;
  • Establish and implement policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure security;
  • Serve as the cornerstone for escalating issues and provide timely response to customer escalations;
  • Manage and maintain the company’s NetApp and 3PAR environment.  Utilizes NetApp and 3PAR best practices along with capacity and problem management to anticipate load changes. Keep an eye to maximizing hardware utilization in all environments;
  • Plan and implement upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches;
  • Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports;
  • Define and implement strategies for integrating disparate operating environments;
  • Develop and maintain training materials and documentation;
  • Providing 24/7 On-Call support.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree with 3 to 5 years’ experience or College degree with a stronger experience;
  • At least five years’ equivalent work experience in a senior technical analytical position responsible for managing virtualization and storage environments;
  • Strong experience with a virtual environment (VMware vSphere, Acropolis, IBM PowerVM, etc.);
  • Experience with Windows Server (2003/R2, 2008/R2, 2012/R2 and 2016);
  • Experience with Unix based operating system (AIX, HP-UX or Linux) is a plus;
  • Advance knowledge with NetApp (Clustered ONTAP) and HP 3PAR storage;
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP and other network protocols and operating system configuration;
  • Experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools;
  • Experience supporting 24x7 and after-hours on-call support for critical issues. 
  • Knowledge of HP hardware (C7000, Blades, etc);
  • Working technical knowledge of scripting code using Batch, PowerShell and common scripting tools;
  • Active Directory knowledge relating to structure and troubleshooting including DNS, Sites & Services, Replication, Security, LDAP protocol, User management;
  • Knowledge of load balancing and clustering;
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Service Now.
