Job Description:

  • Reports to the Site Superintendent and Director, Field Operations.
  • Ensure all Quality Control 1 deficiencies are rectified within 5 business days and prior to insulation (when weather permits).
  • Ensure all Quality Control 4 deficiencies are recertified prior to PDI.
  • Ensure all PDI deficiencies are rectified within 5 business days or prior to closing.
  • Sign off/update deficiencies on Sundial computer system on a daily basis (keeping the system up-to-date is critical).
  • Collect all Tarion Statutory Warranty Forms from homeowners and input deficiencies to Sundial computer system within 24 hours of receiving.
  • Schedule the Quality Control Inspector to inspect all items listed on Warranty Forms within 5 business days from receiving.
  • Input warranted deficiencies to create work orders to be issued to trades within 48 hours after pre-inspection.
  • Schedule and coordinate service date with homeowners and trades on a daily basis to ensure no service work is outstanding for more than 30 days.
  • Schedule Sundial Serviceman appointments by entering in service calendar.
  • Sign off all completed work orders within 24 hours of them being completed.
  • Follow up on trades after service appointments to ensure the work was completed. Updates to be sent on a weekly basis.
  • Respond to Sundial Serviceman's' queries within 24 hours.
  • Respond to homeowner's queries and Customer Care requests within 24 hours.
  • Update Purchaser's information.
  • Issue Completion Slips and update Completion Slips Book. Also, monitoring Trade Checklists.
  • Issue Field Purchase Orders as directed by the Site Superintendent or Director, Field Operations.
  • Check in Tarion Portal every Monday and immediately follow up on any issues reported.  Update the Director, Field Operations of all the issues.
  • Issue backcharge and damage notifications as directed.
  • Assist Site Superintendent with scheduling, faxes, phone calls, inspections, etc.
  • Print trade extras from computer as required.
  • Return all phone calls and answer emails in a timely manner.
  • Write letters to homeowners concerning warrantable & non-warrantable issues when required.  All letters must be in accordance to our company standards and must be approved by Manager, Sales and Marketing.
  • Attend and actively participate in monthly Site Meetings.
  • Schedule and take minutes of monthly Team Meetings.
  • Maintain updated logs (i.e. footings, safety, keys, thermostats, civic address stones, etc.).
  • Filing as required and requested.
  • Order material and supplies for site.
  • Order rental equipment making sure equipment is tracked in log book.
  • Maintaining and updating Health & Safety Board in Trailer.
  • Ensure trades Safety Manual & Form 1000 are current and kept in Trailer.
  • Prepare weekly mail bag and ensure proper back-up is included.
  • Assist in scheduling Director, Field Operations calendar for a specific site and follow-up on appointments and take minutes of Trade meetings.
  • Maintain a cleaned and organized site trailer.
  • Any other duties and tasks that may be required by the Director, Field Operations and Chief Operating Officer.
