Business Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet with business to determine needs for the assigned item / task / deliverable
  • Identify the "As is" and develop "To Be" business solutions for the application systems
  • Document requirements and review with business and IT Team members
  • Facilitate meetings; provide input, present recommended solutions or options
  • Facilitate business buy-in and approval of solution
  • Participate in development of Use Cases for vendors or internal IT team
  • Ensure designed solution will provide the desired business outcome
  • Develop knowledge and experience/competency in the application systems functionality
  • Develop process solutions / work flow using system features to solve business needs
  • Track issues and the resolutions
  • Document testing needs: create scenarios and scripts as required
  • Perform functional testing, integration testing, acceptance testing
  • Facilitate error resolution
  • Review test results with business
  • Facilitate business signoff
  • Enforce traceability from requirements to test matrices
  • Develop user guides; maintain the standards that governs creating user guides (look & feel)
  • Document functionality and desired business specifications / business processes
  • Provide business training for vendor application ( i.e. OASIS; ImageRight )
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to business as required resolving incidents, service & change requests pertaining to the supported application systems
  • Provide expertise / assistance regarding policy processing issues for the business areas
  • Assist in the tracking and updating of both internal and external vendor tracking & incident systems

 

Job Requirements:

  • University Degree
  • Three years' experience
  • Excellent communication skills - clear communication about goals, responsibility, performance, expectations and feedback
  • High regard for quality, attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Enthusiastic can-do contagious attitude
  • Excellent team player
  • Well-developed analytical skills
