Manage the entire design process including underground site servicing, grading (subdivision and lot pre-grades), electrical and utility servicing, and landscaping - must have a thorough understanding of various methods and materials
Manage the entire subdivision servicing process including earthworks, the installation of all underground sewers and services, roadways, hydro and utilities, and landscaping
Manage various consultants related with all land development works
Assist in reviewing and improving tenders created by the relevant consultants to ensure Contracts are cost effective and allow for efficient scheduling
Assist in the plan registration process
Monitor and expedite construction and assumption schedules and deadlines
Ensure compliance with subdivision agreements
Assist in creating and monitoring budgets and reporting
Assist in submitting letters of credit and manage and expedite reduction and cancellation of such outstanding securities
Manage any fill and topsoil needs (i.e. excess/deficient) with the goal of balancing all sites and avoiding any double handling
Assist in reviewing and approving invoicing, purchase orders, and change orders
Ensure smooth relationship and coordination with housing staff and site personnel
P. Eng. with at least 10 years of experience in low-rise residential land development
Strong knowledge and understanding in the design, method of installation, and materials of underground and above-ground site services including sewer, water main, storm management ponds, pump stations and road construction, hydro, utility and landscaping
Deep understanding how various reports and approvals including FSSR and SIS will affect site servicing and development
Thorough experience setting up and monitoring budgets and project development schedules and deadlines
Experience is dealing with all government and non-governments and authorities and consultants
